I will lie down and sleep in peace, for You alone, O Lord, make me dwell in safety. Psa. 4:8
My cat is always looking for a cozy, snuggly spot to curl up in and sleep in peace. She seeks it out religiously, and I often find her snuggled in a nest made of blankets and curled up in a little ball, nose tucked under her paws. She is the perfect picture of peace and contentment. It gives me pleasure to see how she feels so safe and secure in our care and our home.
We too are always restlessly searching for a snuggly, safe spot, where we can rest and feel secure and at peace. The only place we can truly find that is when we give our lives to God, through Jesus Christ. He takes us under His wing, into His care. He wants us to snuggle up close to Him and accept the safety and security that He offers us. He too takes great pleasure in providing that rest and security to us, knowing that we trust Him and believe Him. We are now His responsibility, and He takes it very seriously. He has promised to care for us and to provide everything we need. All we have to do is accept it, believe it, and then snuggle close to Him in the security and safety of His arms.
The Lord delights in those who fear Him, who put their hope in His unfailing love. Psa. 147:11
Hello Jenny,

Well, I can certainly relate to the feeling of having a cat curled contentedly in my lap… feeling her purr …. even having her try to sharpen her claws on my skin – her owners swear that she does that because she likes me. I dunno…. lol
Anyway, I love this image of getting snuggly with God. :) Awesome post, Jen :) ‘They that dwell in the secret place of the Most High…’ Psalm 91 :D
Amazing stuff – yay God!
